Red Clay Bricks

Traditional fired clay bricks remain popular for their strength and long track record. They handle compressive loads well and have decent thermal mass, which helps buildings stay cooler at night after absorbing heat during the day. The downsides are weight, higher transport costs on large projects, and a slower laying process compared with lighter block systems.

Concrete Masonry Units (CMU)

Concrete blocks are the default choice on most commercial and residential sites across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. They are consistent in size, widely available, and economical at scale. On their own they offer limited insulation, so most contractors pair them with external insulation layers or cavity walls to meet energy codes and keep cooling costs manageable.
